Education is Power!

Youth Empowered in the Struggle and VOCES De La Frontera deeply believe that Education is Power and that it enables our communities to resist and fight back against racist, anti-immigrant, and discriminatory policies and practices. We also acknowledge and understand that pursuing higher education is not easy when you’re a person of color, a woman, an immigrant, and/or part of the working class.

From the Creators

This page is brought to you by Nancy, Nayeli, and Cendi, three women of color who are first generation college graduates. As immigrants or children of immigrants ourselves, we’ve endured hardships and overcome several obstacles to attend and graduate from college. We are aware of the fact that the resources necessary to pursue higher education are not as accessible as they should be.
